*SCARIEST DAY EVER!*
So, this past Thursday, the 16th, I was on this website called Speeddate.com and I gave this guy (decent looking) my aim screenname. He’s 18 and said he’s from the town near my cabin. So, I sent him some pics of myself over aim and he sent me some of him…. He then said he really wanted to talk to me on the phone. I gave him my number but only to text me. I told him to call me the next night. I’d be at the homecoming football game for the other high school in town. So that night I texted Tabitha and told her about it. And I was like really freaked out, I couldn’t fall asleep that night. I even had a dream that he came to my house to meet me.
So, the next day I came to school freaked out about him calling me. I told Rhonda about it, and I texted him asking if he could send me a pic of him. He did, it’s not the greatest. That night at the game I texted him asking when he was going to call me.
Him: my phone is dying, so maybe later
Me: how much later?
Him: IDK
Me: I might be with my boyfriend later
Him: Oh okay
Me: What about your girlfriend?
Him: Since when do you have a boyfriend? You were single yesterday
Me: Should I just call you?
Him: No, I’m mad at you. You lied to me.
Me: Okay, whatever you want.
So, I wait a couple hours. I had asked Kyle Cash to be my boyfriend for the night to tell him off. If he did call me. But since he wasn’t calling me, Kyle called him. He pretended to be someone else saying, “Who dis? Where you at?” It was really funny. By the end of the game, I kind of felt bad for treating him like that. So, I texted him.
Me: OMG! I’m so sorry! One of my guy friends had my phone and had sent you all those texts.
Him: Right
Me: I’m serious! I just got my phone back. I’m really sorry.
Then he called me, asked me why my guy friend decided to text him. I said he’s the only person on my list he doesn’t know. Then this stalker said he was in Milwaukee chillen with his buddies. He told me how cool they are except when there’s a drive by. I told him I had to go because I was going to get picked up soon. He didn’t text me until Monday.
Him: Hi
Me: Hey!
Him: What’s up?
Me: Not much, at school. You?
Him: at home
Me: oh fun…
Him: Oh very…
Me: haha so how’s your day been?
Him: good wbu?
Me: eh…it’s been okay.
Him: why just okay?
Me: just been a normal day nothing special.
Him: that’s fun. You wanna hang out after school?
Me: How? Where?
Him: after school and idk where
Me: Oookay…
Him: Yup where you live again lol
Me: (says town name) you’d drive here?
Him: exactly and I’m in (other town) that aint that far at all
Me: Sorry my friend Andrea said I can’t hang out with you
Him: Okay whatever bye
Then he calls me and asks why exactly I can’t hang out with him. I just tell him because my friend said I can’t. He then tells me he’s in my town! Yeah. I asked him where, he said by a high school and grocery store. That’s really freaking close to my house! So, I told him sorry, but I couldn’t today. He hung up, I texted him saying if he worked in his town. He told me to call him if he wanted to talk to him (we were at Tabitha’s house) so I did. He said he’s unemployed. So anyway, he was just being a really big jerk about me not hanging out with him. Tabitha and I talked about it after he hung up and I decided to call Aaron and ask him if he knew this guy. So, like at 5 I called Aaron.
THANK GOD he was home and THANK GOD he knew this guy. He said this guy is a freaky guy. Aaron thought he was gay, and he’s gotten in trouble for sexually assaulting a girl. And this guy has stolen stereos and tv’s out of people’s houses. I told Aaron about my little situation. So, I was like freaking out while I was on the phone with him…. anyway. I cancelled my account on speeddate and took it off of my facebook. I called Tabitha and Rhonda and told them about it. Yeah, and this guy texted me like an hour ago saying, “so your going to ignore me now?” I’m not going to call or text him ever again. And if it gets worse, I’m going to ask one of my guy friends to tell him off. Hopefully he’ll get the hint and just stop contacting me.
Yeah, well my hand hurts.

Present day me: Wow, as a 29-year-old revisiting this entry it makes me laugh but also makes me feel cautious! I was lucky I had friends who were willing to help me in this situation. I knew I didn’t really want to hang out with him, but I also wanted attention from guys. So, this was a learning experience for young, naïve me. I got lucky!
