Performance Day!
We had to get up at 6:30am! Got ready, loaded our instruments into the truck and drove to Pearl Harbor. We walked through the museum and went over to the U.S.S. Arizona Memorial after we watched a movie about the attack on Pearl Harbor. I was excited to perform because we finally got to do what we came here to do. After we went to the memorial we ate boxed lunch out at a park by the U.S.S. Missouri where we preformed. There were maybe 10 extra people there who listened to us. So that performance wasn’t that great. We had a picture taken in front of the U.S.S. Missouri and then we got to take a self-lead tour of the ship. It was so hot that day and we felt so beat. Me, Rhonda, and Tabitha walked around together. And then we finally went to the Ala Moana shopping center to do our other performance. On the bus ride over we all were really excited and hyper. So when we finally got there it was really fun! After we performed we all went to Bubba Gump’s for dinner. I barely ate because I wasn’t hungry, surprisingly. Oh, and guess who I ate with there – Tabitha, Rhonda and Brandon hehe. He has hung out with us a lot on this trip. After we ate we got to walk around the mall and see what was all there. It was the same three who I walked around with. There were really expensive stores there, Rhonda went into a store and looked at the price of a pair of pants and it was $1,350!! Yeah. And we walked through a Japanese saver’s type of place which was kind of awkward but fun and yeah that was our performance day. 😊
Present day me: I remember the adrenaline we all had being able to perform as a high school band in two new places in one day! It was quite an experience.
