10th grade – Ava's Journal Entries!

Saturday

A lot of things have happened since the last time I wrote in here. Last weekend, a guy at work, named Hunter caught my attention. 😊 yeah, and on the way home from work last Sunday I was at a stoplight to turn left, he was two lanes over and when he passed we made eye contact! And we had break at the same time, but didn’t talk because there were two other ladies in there. And this whole Brandon thing – I don’t like him anymore. It’s weird that I go from one guy to another over a weekend, and I don’t feel guilty at all. So this past week was the last week of sophomore year. It was an okay one. Monday – went to Nelson’s for lunch. Tuesday – ordered Green Mill. Wednesday – Kwik trip with Rhonda, Craig and Brad. Thursday – Culvers with Andrea and Tabitha. I took pictures almost all days, in every class. Thursday night we played night games up by Brandon’s. There were five girls and all the guys. Wasn’t as good as the last time. I was partnered with Brandon though, which was fun. Friday I went out to Panera with Delia and then went to her house to work on the end of the year slideshow – which is amazing! Then we went to Andrea’s party. There were only five girls there too and a bunch of guys. Delia and I stayed over and now I’m at the cabin. Today was a lazy day. And now my hand hurts.

Today I talked with Brandon about this whole thing. He doesn’t want a girlfriend. But he said that he likes me and wants to hang out with me more. He’s had fun hanging out with me. Which is good. I think I still have a little bit of hope. Maybe over the summer something will happen? He also said that he just wants girls as close friends. It’s weird, we like each other but aren’t going out, partly because what I want in a relationship is different than what he wants, I think. But anyway, it was an okay day other than that. It’ll be interesting to see him tomorrow at school, if it’ll be awkward or okay. He’ll probably give me a hug, he gave me one in the car, but that was weird, his arm went right over my boobs. Oh well, that was my day. More later.

Present day me: I remember how disappointed I was when he and I finally talked about this. But I wasn’t surprised after all the other behavior he exhibited since the Hawaii trip and what other people had been saying to me about him and his escapades.

Monday

No school

Memorial Day Parade

Hot, but good. Saw Paula for a split-second right before the ceremony and took a bunch of pictures with everyone.

Long, hot and boring.

Work

Walked home after the ceremony, work went by really fast. Was an alright shift, had break with this cute, blonde guy named Hunter. He seems shy though.

Delia’s cook out

To be there for the last two hours was fun. There was Delia, Ashley, Kayla, Bridget, Taylor, Brandon, Harry, Garrett, Brad and Devin. I got a piggy back ride from Harry and Brad. We played badminton, volleyball and basketball. I had fun. Brandon wasn’t all over me, he mostly was with the guys and Delia, her party, her house. I still had fun. I came home, worked on homework and am about to go to bed. 8 days of school left, gotta get a B average. Wish me luck.

Sunday

I am in a state of happiness today. Eddie, Meryl and I came home from the cabin today and I hung out with Rhonda and Paula. We talked about the whole Hannah thing and then Brandon and me. After that a bunch of us went and played night games at Brandon’s. Paula, Delia, me, Ashley, Brandon, Brad, Devin, Harry, Garrett, Craig and Timmy. It was a good group. I got a sweatshirt to wear from Brandon and he gave me two hugs before I left and walked me to my car. 😊 and I think he was looking me over when I first got there and we were waiting in the street for everyone. I was wearing a tank top and shorts and I’m kind of tan. So, today was a pretty good day and tomorrow is pretty much going to suck. I’ll end up writing all about it in here. So yeah. I feel like Brandon and I are literally this close -> <- to going out. That’s about it for now.

Crappy day.

Frustrated with life.

Need a change.

Went out to Buffalo Wild Wings with Tabitha, Grace, and Maddy. Went to the choir concert with Rhonda and Stacey. My cold is getting worse. I hate school so fucking much. And I’m in desperate need of hang out time with Paula!!! Yeah. I want summer so bad right now.

And I want Brandon to ask me out. C’mon, he could just try out another relationship, it could turn out good, maybe, unlike his other ones.

Saturday

Just got back from Rhonda’s birthday party. It was an awesome party! I took Andrea and we went early, set up streamers and hung out until everyone got there. There were a lot of people there! We hung out in her backyard and played games with balls and played zumies. It seemed like (to me) Brandon always made sure where I was, and at first he stood by me a lot. I had him warm up my hands a few times. 😊 and he was wearing a ton of Phoenix. I could smell it from two feet away. Yeah. We had cake, pizza, played apples to apples, except Harry, Garrett, Dan, Delia and I played poker. After that a bunch of us went outside. Brandon and I were locked outside together along with Taylor, Craig and Garrett. Later I ended up being the only girl out there so Harry and Brandon carried me back to behind a bush. It was so weird, but kind of cool. I just end up spending a ton of time with Brandon and right before they carried me, Brandon was sitting on the bench and I sat down next to him and he put his arm around me. 😊 cute! So yeah, I’m thinking everyday him and I get closer. Which is exactly what I want. I gave him a ride home everyday this past week too. Soooo, let’s hope he’s not very oblivious to any of this. And please God, help him ask me out! 😊 because c’mon it’d be P-E-R-F-E-C-T!

Friday

Didn’t have to work today!

Today during school Brandon gave me a hug every time he saw me, which was nice 😊. And after school him and I went shopping and got stuff for Rhonda. It was good, none of that awkwardness and I felt like we were a couple kind of. He made fun of me in a flirty way, and we like had a good time. I took him home and then picked up Delia and we went out for dinner. It was really good! After that we went to Target and then Borders and then Garrett’s house with Harry and we learned to play poker! 😊 I took her home and got back home around 11. I had an awesome day. And Brandon and I have like three or four inside jokes, shit stick, blow job with your hand, you look so lonely in the rain – I’m hot – take your shirt off. This is our song – Hotel California. Any who I think and hope Brandon likes me, and maybe/hopefully will ask me out? Oh! And we went to Goodwill to get my check, while I was filling out my time off sheet in the break room I was talking to Derek, and later Brandon asked me who I was talking to while I was in there. Hehehe. 😊 so that’s about it. Tomorrow night is Rhonda’s birthday party!

Sunday

Had a good weekend! Friday: took Rhonda, Brandon, Samantha and Harry home. I took Samantha and Rhonda home first and then Harry. He owes me $5. And then Brandon last, him and I sat in his driveway for like half an hour and talked. We talked about this whole Hannah thing. And he asked me flat out, “What do you want?” and I said, “I honestly don’t know what I want out of this.” I wanted to change the subject and say I want him, but I didn’t, oh well. I went to work from 5-9:30 and saw a cute guy, he seems like a hick. And then I drove up to the cabin, jammed out to music all the way up. Turned the bass up all the way and totally rocked out!

Saturday: had a parade to go to for Meryl. Rhonda and I hung out and talked to her about work and her confirmation. After, Meryl and I went shopping for mother’s day and spent the rest of my money. I had a movie night, too. Beth, Grace, Maddy, Kayla, Delia, Craig, and Garrett showed up. We watched 10 Things I Hate About You, The Uninvited (good horror movie) and She’s the Man. We went outside at the end and took a few pictures and played basketball. Then today: went out to eat at Northwoods and had a relaxing day.

Present day me: I wish I was more confident in myself to talk to Brandon about our relationship instead of friend drama. I also really like how I had a movie night with friends and we managed to watch three whole movies!

Thursday

Last night was my last band concert ever! Yay! It was a lot of fun. Yesterday after school was really good. I took Brandon and Delia home. Brandon and I walked to my car, we talked about Rhonda. We drove back to the school and picked up Delia. We listened to Brandon’s zune. He has some strange music on that thing. Dropped him off. We went to my house to pick up some stuff and then went over to Delia’s. We stopped at Walgreens and I got eyebrow trimmers and bobby pins. I stopped to get gas and then got ready at Delia’s house. I wore her yellow skirt and a pretty dragonfly clip in my hair. We had brought a bunch of my scrapbooks over so we looked at those while we ate Culver’s for dinner. Then we went to the concert! We played first. Once that was done we got pie and went and looked at the art show. Brandon had a cool teapot. Tabitha had a pot thing too. There were a lot of cool pieces. Hannah had the painting of us four. Sort of awkward. She also had a self portrait. Really freaky. So I hung out with Delia, Brandon, Rhonda, Tabitha, Rayla and Brad. We took some good pictures. And afterwards Delia and I went to sonic and I took her home. Today it started raining in Ecuador. And I have to go to school tomorrow. It’s Rhonda’s birthday and I have to work. So yeah. That’s about it for now.

Present day me: I really enjoyed being in band! I miss it nowadays. I remember taking lots of pictures that night and putting them in a scrapbook. The term, raining in Ecuador, means that my period started. Back then, I would have really heavy flow the second day and I would try to stay home from school every time.

Thursday

So last night I hung out with Ashley. We went to TJ Maxx to get some stuff for her bathroom and then we ate dinner at Pad Thai. I had egg rolls which were really good. It was good to hang out with just her. She is so funny and a great person to talk to about stuff. I told her I like Brandon and she supports that which makes me happy and then we went to the park and walked around. We sang along to Cobra Starship songs in the car, it was so much fun!

And today. I had asked Rhonda to talk to Brandon to tell him that he should talk to me during lunch. She did. But I chickened out and didn’t talk to him. I want to ask him about just dating instead of a serious relationship. Haha or friends with benefits 😊. But who knows. I want answers but am afraid to get them. Ugh!

Anyway, I haven’t talked to Hannah in ages or seen her even. Whatever though.
