At the cabin. The Ktown clan came up to visit. 18 people here in total! So, Aaron came over and I hung out with him. I showed him my picture additions to my room and then showed him part of the DVD. We played cards, just us two. Egyptian Rats Crew, War and Speed. Then we just talked. We looked through a photo album. And then had some food. After that we went outside to ride on the atvs and the snowmobile. It was pretty cool. And yeah, we hung out outside for a loooong while and then my dad said that riding was over for the night, so Aaron left along with his dog and us four girls hung out. Ha! So, the parents were playing Lines of Laughter in the back room below us. We were in the loft laying down. And Rob was way buzzed so I yelled at him to say Obama so he said, “Osama Bin Laden,” then I told him to say, asscrack, dreamsicle and hippopotamus. So yeah. Then I finally got to sleep at like 3ish. So, I’m way tired now. But it was a pretty good night.

Oh, one last thing.

Aaron had his atv shining its headlights on the smaller atv because it wasn’t working. He was standing on the side and was rocking it back and forth. I was standing across from him looking at him and he said, “My girlfriend was sitting on here and I came up on here and started tipping it like this and freaked her out.”

Ava Estelle

Present day me: This was a good memory where everyone was together having a good time and I got some nice time in with Aaron. That was the first time he confessed to me about having a girlfriend, and he did it very nonchalantly. I think he thought of me as a friend and felt comfortable sharing that information with me at that point. I remember just being like, oh okay when he told me. It made a little more sense since he wasn’t asking me out or anything. But I was still happy to hang out with him.

Dream from last night.

Hannah was having a party, but it was up at my cabin. Aaron was over (of course) and it was winter out. The layout of the cabin was different though. So, I guess all we did at the party was lounge around in my room and have a treasure hunt with everyone. It was kind of cool. Then I had a dream that I was hanging out in my room here in town and I hear my dad come home and yell up the stairs, “Gram’s is here!” and I rushed down the stairs and saw her wearing the same outfit that she was wearing in the picture that I have of her on my whiteboard. So, I give her a big hug and tell her about my life.

So yesterday I went to see Definitely, Maybe with Rhonda at 1:30 and that ended around 4. We walked around the mall until Delia, Beth, Hannah and Tabitha were coming. So, they got there and we hung out til about 6. Then Hannah and Rhonda had to leave so it was just the four of us. We went to Deb and tried on dresses. Then we went to Inside Scoop and bought candy because we went to see the movie 27 Dresses! So I saw two movies in one day! They were both really really good! After 27 Dresses we went home. Tabitha gave me a ride home. Then today I played DDR a few times and just hung out. It was relaxing. G’night!

Ava Estelle

Present day me: I remember this being quite an awesome thing! To be able to see two movies at the same theater in one day, with different friends! I also remember having that dream about Gram. I still miss her very much. I believe when a soul that’s passed shows up in one of my dreams that is their way of connecting with me again. This was my first dream with her in it since her passing. I gave her the biggest hug I could when I reached her!

February 16, 2008

Hey! I stayed at Hannah’s last night along with Rhonda, and Beth. It was fun! On the car ride to her house we called Todd and Rhonda said she was Hannah and he believed it! And Hannah said she was Rhonda. Haha. I had to tell him who I was. We used my phone. When we got to Hannah’s we ate dinner and then went upstairs and took pictures and watched the new DVD she made! It is awesome! Yeah, then we watched movies and just talked. Today we woke up and talked. Beth had to leave kind of early, so it was just us 3. We ended up playing wii! It was so much fun! Then me and Rhonda had to leave at noon. I get home and take a shower and then we go over to the Smith’s for their daughter’s birthday party. Boring! I texted with Delia and Tabitha called me while I was over there. After that we came up here to the lake and Eddie was riding his atv around so then I got to ride on it and Aaron came over and we hung out with him. Aaron showed Eddie the trails he had behind his house. During that I called Rhonda and told her about all this. So, I kept getting atv rides from Eddie and then would talk to Aaron in between rides. It was pretty good. I asked him what he did today and he said he sat in a room and turned the heat up so he’d get hot. Idk??? It sounded weird. And his hair hasn’t grown any yet. Which kind of makes me mad. Because losing the cutie flip with his hair was a bad idea. That’s what I think at least. So, I told him about playing wii this morning and he said he had a wii!! And I told him he should bring it over and he said sure. So, we go inside and wait for 45 minutes. He doesn’t show up so me and Eddie walk over to his house and ask him if he’s coming over and he says no, his parents just got home, and he wants to spend time with them. Hmph. But he added he’ll be over tomorrow. I don’t think he’ll come over. But whatever. He can lie to us all he wants because I officially don’t have a crush on him anymore! But I can still daydream about him, right?

Ava Estelle

Present day me: this entry makes me laugh. He was so cute until he got that damn haircut. Then his attraction level plummeted.

9:15pm

Hey, now I’m grounded from the computer. Ugh! But I have Eddie able to sneak on every now and then. So tomorrow night I’m staying at Hannah’s house with Rhonda, Beth, and hopefully Tabitha. If she texts me back telling me she can go. And so tonight was valentines. So, me and Rhonda wanted to call Aaron. So, she called me on my home phone, and I put my cell on speakerphone, and called him. But somebody was online! I tried like three times! But anyway, Eddie was online, and he wanted to send Aaron a comment. So, he logged into my MySpace account and sent him one saying, “This is Eddie, Ava’s little brother,” and Aaron commented back, “Hi Eddie tell your sister is retarded” Yeah! Those exact words! So, I commented him back saying, “Haha why is she retarded?” to sound like I was Eddie. So hopefully he’ll comment back tonight. And I’ll check it in the morning. But he could always not comment back and be a jerk about it. Grr!

Well after this commenting fiasco I called Rhonda and told her about it. And she said, “Wow, why would he say that?” And I was thinking, what does that even mean? He wrote it like he’s in third grade or something.  Yeah, and Eddie listened in on like my whole conversation with Rhonda and he said, “Aaron was just joking,” and that’s what mom said too. And I’m realizing that me and him are really different. We don’t have anything in common except our taste in music. That’s pretty much it. So yeah, I think I’ll just look at him as a friend and see how that goes. Plus, since he got that stupid haircut, that kind of makes me pissed. Because I really liked his hair. But oh well, I guess I’ll just wait til he comments back. I really really hope he does. Well, that’s it for now.

Happy Valentines Day!

<3 Ava Estelle

Present day me: I don’t remember why I was grounded from the computer…maybe because I didn’t do the dishes correctly the first time (I got frustrated with large pans easily). I also am glad I didn’t get too upset about this commenting situation. I’m grateful for the support I had with my brother and mom and friends when I needed it.

Sunday

Just laying in bed thinking about my weekend. It was overall good. Friday, early evening kind of got me pissed but only a little bit. Paula and I walked down to the boat landing and called Aaron. I asked him what he was doing, and he said, “just taking care of a friend. He puked on the bus.” I said, “Oh, well Paula and I are down at the boat landing if you’d want to come down.” He said sure he’d come down on his atv. So, he showed up along with Austin and Spencer. We really didn’t talk to him, the three guys talked and then me and Paula talked. It was kind of weird, and since they had the atv they decided to get a knee board and drag each other around the lake. And me and Paula just stood there and looked at each other every so often. Very weird. We ended up getting cold and we walked back, the guys went up ahead of us. So, I was like fuming at Paula and I stomped my feet and screamed. It echoed but the guys wouldn’t be able to hear it because they had a loud motor.

So, Paula and I walked inside and took pictures and watched movies, drank mountain dew and just hung out. At one time her phone rang, and it was Spencer’s dad (he had used her phone while we were at the boat landing) and he asked us if we knew where Spencer was, we said no, but he told us to let Spencer know his dad called and to give him a jingle. Weird. Yeah, so that was pretty much Friday night.

Saturday was got up, ate breakfast, took showers and kind of just sat around for a little while, then decided to take a walk into town. We walked to the gas station, a few miles away, and Paula found a stuffed dog for Hannah’s present. We walked back and wanted to take a nap, but Eddie asked us if we wanted to play Life, so we played that. After, we went through my ipod songs to make a list for the party. And then we got ready and called Aaron. My mom ended up driving us.

When we got to the roller skating place I could hear everyone inside see us coming and asking “Is that Aaron?” haha. We got there and just kind of walked around and Aaron stuck with me most of the time, which was good. 😊 He did know other people there like Rhonda and Delia. We were standing in a circle with me, Aaron, Rhonda, Amy, and Paula. Paula says to Aaron, “Your shoe is untied.” Me and Rhonda burst out laughing. Aaron, I bet rolled his eyes at another one of our inside jokes. That was one of the funniest things of the night. And I could tell Aaron was looking at me most of the time. Which is very good. 😊 Anyway, we just kept talking about stuff and when it was time to go, we were doing that whole hugging thing, when everyone hugs saying goodbye. And Aaron hugged Hannah twice!! I didn’t get to hug him. So, we get into the van and this time me and him talk the whole way home. It was way good!! He told me of a couple times when he ran out of gas at certain places that we were driving past. And I told him my theory about my gram dying. He talked to my mom about Eddie buying an atv.

My mom drove into his driveway to drop him off so like I couldn’t give him a hug in the car. But I told him if he’s bored tomorrow, he could come over and we could hang out and he said he might just do that so that made me happy. So, I got home and called Rhonda. I talked to her for like two hours about the party and the ride back. I went to bed at 10, woke up at 7 or 8 in the morning. Took a shower, ate breakfast, and went outside with my rollerblades on. 😊 Not the best idea with ice on the ground, Eddie and I traded shoes and then I called Aaron, asked him if he wanted to come out and he did. We talked for about 20 minutes about random things. Then he got cold, so he went inside to get some food and said he’ll be back out in a little bit. So, me and Eddie went inside and played a game of cribbage. Then pretty much just packed up and went back home. I had a really good weekend 😊 Oh and I found out his birthday is the same as my cousin Phoebe’s! haha!

<3 Ava Estelle

Present day me: This was a really fun time in my life. I was enjoying time with my friends, coming up with numerous inside jokes, especially with Rhonda. Aaron was along for the ride with us during that party. I’m happy that he decided to go, and I was able to get a little more time with him. We were getting more comfortable with each other and I was learning how to talk to a guy around my age. I also remember my mom being really respectful when we were all in the van together. She was quiet and only spoke when one of us said something to her. I’m thankful for those times that she was a helper for me.

Tuesday 9:51pm

So today after school I went up to the cabin to give Aaron his invitation to Hannah’s birthday party! I got up there and as we were driving down the road their bus drove by but I didn’t see them get off and go into their house, so I just stayed inside for a little bit. Then I saw a white beatdown car driving down the road really slowly. I thought it was him, so I decided to call him. 😊 (First time calling him without my friends there with me.) So, I was like, “Can you guess who this is?” he said, “no.” I said, “This is Ava,” and then I said, “Can you guess where I am?” he said, “I don’t know.” So, I said, “I’m at my cabin walking down the driveway!” He perked up a bit at that and I told him I had something for him, and we met outside in his driveway. I gave him the envelope and we just started talking. He talked about cars mostly and I had no clue what he was talking about. But I was trying to understand. So yeah, he said he could go to the party, and we could go together!! But he said he didn’t want to drive…? I don’t know? So, we talked for like a half hour and then we got way too cold so we parted. But it was overall good and not awkward just having it be me and him together.

Ava Estelle

Present day me: I remember being confused why he didn’t want to drive us. I never learned the reason why. This is a fun memory to look back on as an adult because it was the beginning time of me and boys. Hahahahah!

Copied from notes on my ipod touch <3

Friday, Jan. 18, 2008 – 4:47pm

Just found out Aaron wants a girlfriend!!!! Said so on his headline on myspace! But the comments I sent him last night (3-4) he deleted! Well one of them had my cell number on it… but still why would he delete them?? Rhonda said maybe he wants to keep his plans a secret from his friends, because then that means he’s coming to the mall or something… but I don’t really know for sure. I’m staying at Hannah’s house tonight with Rhonda and we’re going to call Aaron and Rhonda said she’ll act like a stalker and ask him why he deleted my comments. 😊 I just hope he’s home and not doing anything and would want to talk to me at least. And I said I’ll have to be all flirty because he’s looking for a girlfriend now and I’m pretty desperate for a boyfriend. I hope when we call him, he doesn’t say, “Guess what I did today! I asked a girl out named (insert name here) and now we’re going out!” If he says that I’m going to scream! Or (we were joking around) if he said, “Guess what I found out today! I’m a homosexual!” Hannah and Rhonda would laugh, and I’d start crying…ugh! Why can’t I get to know him better? I need to be more outgoing or flirty…yeah.

Yesterday – Jan. 19, 2008 – 9:11pm

So last night I stayed at Hannah’s with Rhonda. It was a lot of fun! We had mashed potatoes, gravy and turkey for dinner 😊 Then we hung out in her room and called Aaron 😊😊😊 Rhonda talked to him first and then I did. He sounded bored when on the phone with Rhonda and sounded happy when he talked to me! We talked about my cabin and his house and why he deleted my comments! He said his brother sent him some comments that he didn’t want anyone to see so he went crazy on the deleting. Yeah, likely story. But he said he had an old pinball machine! It sounds really cool, and he has a piano. But he doesn’t know how to play chopsticks, so I told him I’ll teach him sometime. We talked about movies too. He’s like, “I can never sit still,” and I’m like, “then what do you do at like movies and stuff?” he’s like, “I get up and walk around or I go to the bathroom 20 times,” I’m like, “there’s not reason to see a movie then,” but he said, “well it’s just chick flicks I don’t like.” And I’m like, “Well, yeah you’re a guy. I’d never take you to a chick flick.” He said, “well I’d sit through one if it was with a girl I really like,” I KNOW!!!! That made me smile. I’m just like, “Oh, that’s good to know.” Yeah, when we were talking about his pinball machine, he told me his backdoor is always open. And that I can go into his house whenever. Yeah, I gave him my cell number so he could call me today telling me if he could go to the mall or not. So, after that we just hung out. Went to sleep at midnight and woke up at 9. Good nine hours of sleep. So, Rhonda’s mom picked me up and took me home. I took a shower and got ready for the mall! Thinking that Aaron would be there (I was getting too excited for it) But he wasn’t there!!! We walked around the mall like a ton of times looking for him, but we never did 🙁 so we gave up. I found a dress and that was it.

Ava Estelle

Present day me: My friends back then were so funny. This makes me miss myspace too and being able to leave comments and read people’s headlines. We had nicknames for everything back then, especially sexual things so when we learned we were having mashed potatoes, gravy, and turkey for dinner that night we giggled to each other about the inside jokes we had. I also love those foods together still! Reading about Aaron and my conversation on the phone made me laugh a lot. His pinball machine was real, although I never was brave enough to go to his house and enter through the back door myself. Also, reading this entry today I’m not certain he was flirting with me with those lines, but I felt like I was trying to flirt with him!

Wednesday

Wow. Yesterday we went zip lining!! It was AMAZING!! I wasn’t afraid at all of the heights. Mom was! Well, it was me, Eddie, Meryl, Phoebe, mom, Aunt Blanche, Uncle Pat, and Opa who went. I was kind of afraid before we started. But once I went on the first one it was so cool!! That as my favorite day so far. After we were done gliding through the trees we took our harnesses off and received a free soda ticket. So, we all got free sodas and used the bathrooms.

There was a river at the end. So, we all put our feet in, and it was freezing! But Phoebe, Meryl and Eddie went off the slides. So (highlight of the day) we go back to our table to put our shoes back on and pack everything up again. I take my soda with about half an inch left in it and do bottoms up. A BEE COMES INTO MY MOUTH OUT OF THE SODA CAN AND STINGS ME ON MY TONGUE!!! I immediately spit it out, soda and everything. So, it’s getting numb and hurts like you couldn’t believe. Aunt Blanche is there (sees it happening) and I keep my mouth open, I can feel the stinger in it, she pulls it out. The whole right side of my tongue numbs up and swells. Mom gave me two Benadryl’s to help the swelling. I had so much spit in my mouth I could only spit it out. My tongue swelled up so much it had teeth marks in it from getting too big. So, we got back to the hotel room and I just laid down on the couch and fell asleep for an hour. It was very refreshing. Then me and mom went to the market to pick up some food we needed. We ate dinner with Meredith and Susie last night. Even with the bee sting yesterday was my favorite day so far.

Now, moving on to today: we got up at 6ish in the morning to go deep sea fishing. Same people went as zip lining including Aunt Margot. We all got on a bus to drive us down to the dock. We waited about fifteen minutes for the boat. Then we started out on the ocean. Aunt Blanche caught the first fish. Everyone caught a fish except me because I got motion sickness from the waves. So, I just sat there and watched, took some pictures and tried not to throw up. I took some Dramamine, but it just made me sleepy. So, I took like a two hour nap on the boat for the last two hours. But once I woke up from my nap I felt fine. We walked back to the hotel (15 min) and had some food, got into our swimsuits and went down to the pool. I read a little bit of New Moon and just hung out. Then we went out for dinner because we had the fish, we caught cooked at one of the restaurants at our hotel. It was yellowfin tuna, pretty good! We took a family picture too. So today was an alright day. But I’m getting anxious to get home and see what’s going on with everyone. And to tell them what all has happened.

<3 Ava Estelle

Present day me: this is a memory I still share with people to this day. Anytime I encounter a bee around me I just remain calm and hope they fly away. After having this experience of a bee stinging my tongue, I have a different perspective on bees. I’d never want it to happen again of course, and I’ve always checked my cans of soda before drinking them ever since!! Zip lining is also an experience I’d recommend to everyone. I’d definitely do it as an adult if I ever had the opportunity to again!

Monday

I miss my friends like you couldn’t believe! Opening this made me sad. ☹

Well today was our third day in Mexico. We arrived on Saturday the 5th at around 3pm. And we just explored that night. Then yesterday was a beach day. Hung out at the ocean and pool and spent time with Phoebe, Meredith and Susie. Not really that exciting. But it was relaxing. I laid on my stomach out on the beach for like two hours and got the back of my legs and butt red.

So today we went into town to do a little shopping. Me, Meryl, Eddie, mom, Phoebe, Uncle Pat and Aunt Blanche went together. We walked down the road for like twenty minutes, got to a mall, but mom and Aunt Blanche asked someone for directions on how to get to the market. So, we blew off the mall and waited for a bus for thirty minutes! (We weren’t even with Oma and Opa!) So we get on a bus and the directions the guy gave us told us we had to get off at a highway and get on another bus on the other side of the highway. So, we get off and run across the street and wait for the next bus. It comes, we get on. But all seven of us have to stand, along with some other people, in the aisle. It was weird. I was really sweaty, and I had only a handle on a seat to hold onto. I can’t balance that well! But some people got off and we had more room. And then our stop came, and we got off to go shopping at a market. Meryl and I bought some shell necklaces for 12 & 13 dollars. They’re really cool. Then we got a taxi to come back and hung out on the beach and took pics.

<3 Ava Estelle

Present day me: I do remember that bus ride. It was really awkward! I’m glad we managed to get to that market that seemed so important that day. Sometimes Aunt Blanche just did her thing, and we were all along for the ride. Spending time with cousins was nice too, since we didn’t live near each other. The Mexico trips each year were a way for the family to get together.

January 1, 2008

January 1, 2008

Well, it’s the first day of 2008, and I’m starting a new diary/journal. My old one is falling apart so this is a new one! Over Christmas break I had a party at the cabin! Six girls came over and stayed the night.

Well, everyone showed up around 2ish. We all got settled in and then we took some pictures inside. We talked and exchanged cell numbers since I got a cell phone and some others got new ones. So, we sit and talk. And then we decide to go outside, to go see if Aaron wanted to hang out with us. 😉

Yeah, so Delia and Paula go up to his door and I guess his brother answered. Delia asked for Aaron and his brother – Austin – said we’ll be out in a minute. So, they come out and we start throwing snow at them. After a little while we all got cold, and we invited Aaron and Austin in to play Apples to Apples with us.

So we all sit down in the back room and Aaron sits between Beth and I think Catherine. And what Beth told me later is that Aaron tried to play footsie with her, but she scooted towards Hannah. Well, Apples to Apples was getting old so, (I’m not sure how it came up) we started talking about phones and I got Aaron’s number! Well, we all did. So, pretty much we kept talking, I played DDR with Paula and I challenged Aaron to play the Block Puzzle game on my ipod. Hehe. Him, Rhonda, and I were trying to figure it out. We got so close but then Eddie messed it up. But whatever. Anyway we just hung out in the doorway from the kitchen to the living room. And I actually talked to Aaron a lot more than last time. It was good.

Oh! And between talking in the living room, everyone crammed into my room! We just sat in it and, of course, talked some more. I showed everyone the board that we wrote on at my all-nighter. Aaron saw his nickname word and everything else. And then it became 10:30 and my parents said the guys had to leave at 10 so all of us walked them outside and we talked with just Aaron for a while longer. His brother went in because he was cold.

So, we stayed up until 3. I fell asleep first. Before we went to sleep everyone said me and Aaron would look good together! 😊 so, I’m happy about that. And Hannah didn’t’ flirt with him at all! Hehe. She knows I like him, and she doesn’t so she respects that. So, the next morning we woke up about 9ish and we told Aaron to meet us outside at 10. But we all still had to get ready, so we did and ate breakfast. But we didn’t get out there until 11:30! So, he didn’t come out and we decided to send some of us up to his door. Me, Rhonda, Catherine, Paula, and Hannah walked up there. I was really shy about it. Paula walks up to the door and knocks, and Hannah stands on the stairs. After a minute nobody came so we left. We went back inside, and someone came out of the laundry room with Aaron’s gloves that he left here. 😊😊😊 So! We decide to write him a note and put it in his gloves. We all wrote little funny things from the night before and signed our names and numbers. And then we went and put his gloves on his doorstep for him.

So after all that everyone left. And I spent the rest of the day sitting around watching Charmed. He never called me. So, I kind of stopped hoping. But I had a really fun time. I’m glad Aaron could come to another of my parties! 😊

Ava Estelle

Present day me: Another fun visit down memory lane! This party of mine was really fun because some of the girls went to a different school, so we got to see each other and make more inside jokes. We spent a lot of time outside in January I remember. I guess it must’ve been warm enough for us hahaha. I enjoyed reading about how we hung out in a doorway between two main rooms of the house. Such a random “cool” thing to do. I also remember when we found Aaron’s gloves feeling so excited, I had another opportunity to maybe get to see him!! In hindsight, he was probably overwhelmed by receiving all these girls’ numbers at once, who all lived in a different city. I’m not sure if he actually caught on to my crush I had on him at that time. He hung out with us when I had my friends over, which was once every few months or so. I didn’t hang out with him by myself.
