birthday party – Ava's Journal Entries!

Sunday

Friday – went shopping with Delia after school for Andrea’s present. We got her slipper socks and cute Christmas shorts. It was fun to hang out with her. We talked about dirty songs and how we should write a song with all our inside jokes and title it “I’m a crack whore, want to have sex with me?” 😊 after that we both had stuff to do. I picked up Eddie from basketball practice at 6 with Meryl and we went up to a restaurant near the cabin to meet mom and dad. I might be having a Christmas party on the 19^th! The cute waiter was there and I’m pretty sure he saw me. I almost hit him with a fry when I flicked it at Meryl but it went too far. We rented movies but only watched one: Ghosts of Girlfriends Past. It was really good.

I got up Saturday, went to work til 5 then went over to Andrea’s birthday party. I hung out with Rhonda mostly. I took her there and home. It was good to re-connect with her. Delia came late, so it was us three and Gwen. We just sat behind the couch and talked. We left at 11 and I stayed at Delia’s house. We rented Zack and Miri Make a Porno. Funniest movie ever!! We stayed up til 3. When we rented it we think the guy let us and didn’t ask for ID because we were really hyper and seemed kind of drunk.

I woke up this morning at 7:30 and came home to an empty house. Did my homework and chilled out. I almost hung out with Derek last night but he cancelled last minute because of “family obligations” whatever. I think I’m done hanging with him for a while. Him and I can take a break. I should go back to my old self, start scrapbooking again, hang with my friends and just be me instead of trying to hang with him every weekend. Because I did hang out with him the last two and this last time was so amazing I think we can just take a break. And it will probably be awkward at work, oh well. I’ll see if he really is sorry or if he lied. So I guess that’s it for now. Ttyl!

So went to work, saw Derek. And after work I texted him saying we should take a break, don’t really have a reason. But I’ll just see him at work and not hang wit him for a while. He wasn’t lying, he was drinking and then his mom hurt herself somehow, so yeah. And besides he’ll talk to me more at work if he doesn’t see me outside of work. And that’d be nice. Watch I’ll probably change my mind next weekend.

Present day me: I remember watching the Zack and Miri movie but not much else from this entry. It’s still interesting to revisit these times and see how I’ve changed over the years.

Monday 11:45am

Bored at the cabin.

Oma and Opa are here, I’m extremely bored and just want to see my friends. I miss them so much. I talked to Rhonda today and told her about this past week. It was a week ago today that I met Kyle and now it’s all over. It was a lot of fun while it lasted, that’s for sure. But it’s almost better that it ended the way that it did because I know in the back of my mind my relationship with him wouldn’t have really lasted once school started and then I’d have had to break up with him and yeah. We went out for about 24 hours. Oh well, now I move on and focus on school. I have my birthday party on Saturday! I’m so excited for that! And I’m thinking it’ll be even better than last year! And tomorrow I’m going to Kayla’s creek with people, so that’ll be good. So, I’m still being hopeful through it all, things will get better. I’ll get my parents to trust me again and I’ll get my car back and it’ll all be fine. And hopefully when school starts I’ll meet a new guy, and now I better be done writing, Eddie and Meryl will probably come find me soon. More later.

Present day me: This was a period where I was thinking about my actions and how I lied to my parents and was caught. I definitely learned from this experience but it was still a struggle between my parents and I when it came to me hanging out with people who I met at work.

Saturday

Just got back from Rhonda’s birthday party. It was an awesome party! I took Andrea and we went early, set up streamers and hung out until everyone got there. There were a lot of people there! We hung out in her backyard and played games with balls and played zumies. It seemed like (to me) Brandon always made sure where I was, and at first he stood by me a lot. I had him warm up my hands a few times. 😊 and he was wearing a ton of Phoenix. I could smell it from two feet away. Yeah. We had cake, pizza, played apples to apples, except Harry, Garrett, Dan, Delia and I played poker. After that a bunch of us went outside. Brandon and I were locked outside together along with Taylor, Craig and Garrett. Later I ended up being the only girl out there so Harry and Brandon carried me back to behind a bush. It was so weird, but kind of cool. I just end up spending a ton of time with Brandon and right before they carried me, Brandon was sitting on the bench and I sat down next to him and he put his arm around me. 😊 cute! So yeah, I’m thinking everyday him and I get closer. Which is exactly what I want. I gave him a ride home everyday this past week too. Soooo, let’s hope he’s not very oblivious to any of this. And please God, help him ask me out! 😊 because c’mon it’d be P-E-R-F-E-C-T!

Friday

Didn’t have to work today!

Today during school Brandon gave me a hug every time he saw me, which was nice 😊. And after school him and I went shopping and got stuff for Rhonda. It was good, none of that awkwardness and I felt like we were a couple kind of. He made fun of me in a flirty way, and we like had a good time. I took him home and then picked up Delia and we went out for dinner. It was really good! After that we went to Target and then Borders and then Garrett’s house with Harry and we learned to play poker! 😊 I took her home and got back home around 11. I had an awesome day. And Brandon and I have like three or four inside jokes, shit stick, blow job with your hand, you look so lonely in the rain – I’m hot – take your shirt off. This is our song – Hotel California. Any who I think and hope Brandon likes me, and maybe/hopefully will ask me out? Oh! And we went to Goodwill to get my check, while I was filling out my time off sheet in the break room I was talking to Derek, and later Brandon asked me who I was talking to while I was in there. Hehehe. 😊 so that’s about it. Tomorrow night is Rhonda’s birthday party!

Thursday

Last night I was on the phone with David for 3 hours! From 8-11pm. Yeah. We talked about lots of stuff. Random things. Dirty jokes, getting together, grapefruits 😊, a ton of innuendos. He asked me if I like to ride horses, yeah. Anyway, I’m really comfortable with him and I like talking to him on the phone. At 10 I turned my lights off and was talking to him in the dark, sometimes we whispered to each other, which was really nice 😊 and he said my name…I love it when he says my name. I had to let the cat in through my window, so I was talking to the cat in my little voice. Hehe. Yeah, so I was really tired this morning, but in an amazing mood all day. Yeah. So, I really want to hang out with David but I’m still a little scared. I think it would be okay though. He doesn’t seem like the kind of guy that would pressure me into doing things I don’t want to do. But he really likes me. I found out he had carved my name in his nightstand and dresser while we were going out. And the background on his phone is his favorite picture of me he found on facebook. He took a pic of it with his phone. So yeah. Tomorrow is Andrea’s 16^th birthday party and the last day of testing in school! OH! And Rhonda and I wrote a love ballad to Brandon because last night she had a dream that Brandon and I had a crush on each other. We gave each other love notes, his said, “I love you… you’re hot.” And mine was a long ballad, so I decided to write one. 😊 I put it in an envelope and put some lipstick on and sealed it with a kiss. Yep, so now I’m waiting for David to call me. He said he’ll call at like 8:30 but it’s almost 9. So, idk. Oh well. But I’ll hopefully hang with Paula on Saturday! And I’m going to tell her all about this. 😊

I went to Bailey’s birthday party tonight. Beth picked me up and drove me home because she got her license yesterday! Her party was fun. We went in her indoor inground hot tub, had pizza, cake and ice cream. Made prank calls of course and just hung out. We also sat by a fire, took pictures. 😊

This morning Meryl, mom and I got our teeth cleaned and then walked over to the mall. We went shopping at a couple stores and bought some clothes. I got to drive halfway home too!

Wednesday 10:59pm

I just got back from Beth’s sweet 16 birthday party! It was just at her house. We had pizza, played air hockey, hung out outside, talked, sang Stacey’s Mom. But instead, it was Beth’s mom. We decorated t shirts and played Never Have I Ever. We did the cupid shuffle, which I now know how to do. We sang songs and danced. I almost lost my breath. We took pictures of course. I could have stayed over but we’re going out of town tomorrow, so I had to come home. Me and Katie were the only ones that didn’t stay over. The people who were there: Tabitha, Rhonda, Delia, Casey, Stacey, Hannah, Grace, Jessica, Becca, Andrea, Bridget, and Bailey. I think that was everyone. Well, that’s about it for now.

Present day me: I remember this birthday party. It was fun! We didn’t get to hang out at Beth’s house very often and when we did it was awesome! She had air hockey, a large basement for dancing and a backyard with a great sledding hill!

Sunday 8:02pm

Last night was Tabitha’s 15^th birthday party. It was so much fun! We all got there around 7. I had made a cake, chocolate. There were 7 of us, Tabitha, Hannah, Rhonda, Bailey, Grace, Maddy and me. So, we just sit around her living room and all talk about stuff. Then at like 8:30 we must go to the grocery store to pick up more smores stuff and drumstix (ice cream cones) so Grace drives all of us in her van! We get to the store and kind of just all split up and get food. We knew this one fat guy who worked there, and he gave them the marshmallows and such. We took video and pictures while Rhonda, Bailey, Tabitha, and Hannah were buying the food. Grace, Maddy and I ran around the store telling everyone “Happy Saturday Night” that we saw. They didn’t like that very much. So, we get back to the cashiers and those four weren’t there so we wait next to the doors for them to come back in looking for us and three guys who look like seniors leave, they’re looking at us. We end up going out there and Grace is like, “They’re probably in the van, I left it unlocked.” Turns out they were. We all pile in and go back to Tabitha’s house. We unpack the drumstix and put in the CD that I made. We listened to the vagina song by the bloodhound gang. Then tried to find the music video on youtube but we found other *ahem* music videos. Then we ate my cake, and put chocolate frosting on our faces, took pictures, danced to the music. Then we kinda chilled out for a bit and played Never Have I Ever, right before Rhonda left. After she left, we all went outside and over to the elementary school nearby to play night games. We walk over to the playground and see three guys playing frisbee in the parking lot. Grace walks over to them and asks to play, then we realized they were the same guys who were at the grocery store. They said they were 22 and 23. We told them our real ages. Then they left, we just stand there on the edge of the grass. Then two guys and a girl come over to us and ask which middle school we went to. We walked away from them; they were smoking something. Grace yells back at them, “we’re from out of town!” they just insulted us while we were walking away. They were following us and then they left. We didn’t want to walk directly to her house, so we just stood by the batting net for a while and talked, then went and walked around her house the long way, in the shadows. We go back in and just sit and talk and chilled. We all went to sleep around 3 and woke up at like 8ish. And I was the last one there, we also had smores for breakfast. It was a really fun party!

Present day me: The town I grew up in had weird people in it. This memory was a fun one to revisit. I remember telling strangers “Happy Saturday Night” and my two new friends finding it so funny and entertaining to do. I felt so cool!

Sunday – Happy Mother’s Day!

Well, this past Friday was Rhonda’s birthday party. I went to drivers ed after school and then went to Rhonda’s house, then we had to rush to the bowling alley! It was really fun!! We couldn’t get bumpers, so we got a lot of gutter balls. It was me, Erin, Hannah and Rhonda on one lane/team and Beth, Tabitha, Grace and Richie were on the other. We had a game and half about and then we did cake! We got to all sign a bowling pin for Rhonda, too. We ate pizza, cake and ice cream and talked about pretty hilarious stuff. At about 8 we went back to her house and just hung out, did presents, and watched John Tucker Must Die. Erin and Beth had to leave at like 10, so at midnight we decided to make a Reese’s no-bake dessert thing. It was good. We ended up going to sleep around 3! We got up at 9 and ate breakfast. Then me and Hannah were the last ones there.

That’s pretty much the highlight of my weekend.

Present day me: This was a fun birthday party I remember! The cake and ice cream, just the words, were an inside joke of ours. So, we had many things to make us laugh. I bet Rhonda’s parents would hear snippets and think, “what is so funny about Arby’s?” another inside joke of ours.

Hey! I stayed at Hannah’s last night along with Rhonda, and Beth. It was fun! On the car ride to her house we called Todd and Rhonda said she was Hannah and he believed it! And Hannah said she was Rhonda. Haha. I had to tell him who I was. We used my phone. When we got to Hannah’s we ate dinner and then went upstairs and took pictures and watched the new DVD she made! It is awesome! Yeah, then we watched movies and just talked. Today we woke up and talked. Beth had to leave kind of early, so it was just us 3. We ended up playing wii! It was so much fun! Then me and Rhonda had to leave at noon. I get home and take a shower and then we go over to the Smith’s for their daughter’s birthday party. Boring! I texted with Delia and Tabitha called me while I was over there. After that we came up here to the lake and Eddie was riding his atv around so then I got to ride on it and Aaron came over and we hung out with him. Aaron showed Eddie the trails he had behind his house. During that I called Rhonda and told her about all this. So, I kept getting atv rides from Eddie and then would talk to Aaron in between rides. It was pretty good. I asked him what he did today and he said he sat in a room and turned the heat up so he’d get hot. Idk??? It sounded weird. And his hair hasn’t grown any yet. Which kind of makes me mad. Because losing the cutie flip with his hair was a bad idea. That’s what I think at least. So, I told him about playing wii this morning and he said he had a wii!! And I told him he should bring it over and he said sure. So, we go inside and wait for 45 minutes. He doesn’t show up so me and Eddie walk over to his house and ask him if he’s coming over and he says no, his parents just got home, and he wants to spend time with them. Hmph. But he added he’ll be over tomorrow. I don’t think he’ll come over. But whatever. He can lie to us all he wants because I officially don’t have a crush on him anymore! But I can still daydream about him, right?
