I went to Bailey’s birthday party tonight. Beth picked me up and drove me home because she got her license yesterday! Her party was fun. We went in her indoor inground hot tub, had pizza, cake and ice cream. Made prank calls of course and just hung out. We also sat by a fire, took pictures. 😊
This morning Meryl, mom and I got our teeth cleaned and then walked over to the mall. We went shopping at a couple stores and bought some clothes. I got to drive halfway home too!

Present day me: It was really fun to go to these birthday parties to make more memories and inside jokes with my friends at that time!

Today we had a massive garage sale. Our family got a total of $394.97! Rhonda came over for the day, too. We walked around the neighborhood, talked about my freshman buddy, and lots of other things. We called Aaron but he was sleeping. So, then Rhonda left, and the sale was pretty much ending so I helped move some more stuff by the street. And we had a bonfire, we got pasta for dinner. And then guess who called me back: Aaron! Haha we only talked for 5 minutes – school, told him we sold our green, nasty chair that we had at the cabin. Spencer had come over to his house, so he had to go. So, I called Rhonda and we talked about getting Aaron to go to homecoming with us. He could bring Tori if he’d want. Yeah, then we got done talking. I went out by the fire, and we listened to the dirty/funny songs I have on my ipod. We did the cha cha slide and I texted with Tabitha and Tori. That’s about it.

Present day me: I like this entry to share about a typical Saturday in 2008.

Actually, today all I did was read Breaking Dawn. I’m almost done! Umm, so last week on Wednesday I went to Brandon’s 16th Birthday Party. I hung out with Tabitha and Delia. It was a pretty good party. We played wii tennis and went down to this really small park. The girls and Brandon played 500 with a frisbee but instead of yelling numbers he yelled other things like, “free back massage from me.” We went back to his house and sat by a bonfire and had some smores.
So then on Friday I went to the mall with Paula and Rhonda. We went to Charlotte Russe, Younkers, Macy’s, deb and Ragstock. Tried on a bunch of dresses and took pictures. Then Friday night I went to Bridget’s house for some board game olympics. I was on the yellow team with Stacey. Then Delia and Bridget were on the pink team and Bailey was the only one on the green team because Tabitha couldn’t make it at the last minute. So, we played Guess Who, pink team won. Twister, pink team won. Sorry, yellow team was winning then pink won. And they were bragging and boasting. Stacey and I were getting really frustrated. But we kept playing. Catch Phrase, Clue, Apples to Apples – Yellow team won! (only game) and watched the show My Boys. I stayed up til 5 and fell asleep. Bailey slept too, but the other three went outside to walk around the block. I woke up at 8. Bailey had left already. And we played Sorry again, then mom came to pick me up. Some of my night was fun, but overall, it was pointless.

Present day me: I enjoy reading about these memories. They were fun times to remember as an adult! Even though board game olympics ended up being a losing streak for my team it’s still a fun concept to maybe try again with my current friends!

So, it is officially summer vacation! It’s been okay. The weather has been pretty crappy. Thursday was our last day of school. It was a lot of fun. We went to culvers for lunch, and we saw an old well beloved middle school teacher there! That was awesome!!! After school we went to Andrea’s bonfire and hung out there for a while. Rhonda had her first smore!!! Then Rhonda, Tabitha, Hannah, and Beth came over to my house to sleepover! I showed them behind the neighbor’s house with a path, creek, and bridge. Then we made Hannah a myspace and played Apples to Apples. I won friendly with construction workers! 😊😊 Yeah. We ended up going to bed around 1am. Got up, had pancakes, and drove Rhonda and Tabitha home. We also got to meet Hannah’s new dog! So cute!! Yeah, so the rest of Friday we went up to the lake, I scrapbooked and just chilled.
Saturday, we went to Uncle Ron’s house for his half birthday party. But mom didn’t go. I got to drive for the last 45 minutes home. It was really good. Then today we woke up at the cabin and came home. We went shopping while Eddie was at a birthday party. And just chilled. Yeah, pretty relaxing first few days of summer.

Present day me: I remember being so happy we got to see that teacher we all had in middle school. He was known as being so kind, friendly and helpful for many students. Everyone wanted to be in his class! Getting to see him during our last day of our first year of high school was really special. I also remember making a myspace for Hannah. She didn’t have DSL at the time so I told her I’d help her get a myspace and she could check it at my house anytime.

Got in from a bonfire. Cathy and Hal are here along with Deb and Derek. Yeah, we made smores and pudgy pies. Today was an alright day. I did a bunch of scrapbooking and talked to Beth, Rhonda, and Tabitha on the phone. So yeah, I saw Aaron go over to Tori’s place but I’m okay with it. I’m finally not feeling depressed about it. Which is a big step for me. 😊 so, I got to drive out of town today! And back with mom! She said I did good. And then I got to drive back from the cabin with dad and Meryl. I like driving. And I don’t feel very tired. So, I’m not sure what to do. I can’t scrapbook because then I’d have to turn all the back lights on…oh well. My right knee hurts really bad from sitting like a frog for so long today. So tomorrow I’ll do more scrapbooking and homework. Whoo hoo!
Present day me: I used to sit with my legs outwards instead of inwards like a normal criss cross applesauce deal. It was comfortable for me, it helped me separate spaces on the floor when I did my scrapbooking. One space behind my left leg, next to my shin, and then my front space, then next to my right shin and lastly behind my leg. 5-6 piles of whatever I was working on and had to put in chronological order. It worked great! Nowadays, I can’t sit like that anymore and I can sit criss cross applesauce sometimes.
