Wednesday

Beach/in the city day

This morning Meryl, Phoebe, Aunt Blanche, Uncle Pat, Meredith, Susie, and I went to a public beach. It was really nice, we could go swimming, but I didn’t because there were stingrays flopping around and jumping out of the water. I found a ton of sea glass. Mostly little pieces but they’re so pretty. Then we went into town to pick up everyone else from fishing. They had caught marlin and derado. We ate them for lunch. The dorado was better. We walked through the harbor and then changed into different clothes. We walked to Sammy Hagar’s bar – Cabo Wabo. And took some pictures. Then walked back to the car. And went back to the beach from this morning. So, Oma could go shelling. I found a ton more sea glass. We came back and went to bed.

G’night.

Present day me: I remember feeling the absolute coolest going to Cabo Wabo. It was empty when we visited so we just took some cool pictures and relished the place. I was so excited to show others where I’d visited.

Pool/beach day

It was finally sunny out today! I got burned on my right side but not on my left. Ha. Yeah, it sucks. But today was a good day. I worked on a little bit of homework and went swimming. A bunch of us went for a walk down the beach and we found a baby sea turtle on the shore. It was so cute. I took some pictures of it. Eddie and I watched The Biggest Loser on tv, and it was really motivating. We had chicken and mashed potatoes for dinner. After dinner Phoebe and us three took Eddie’s slingshot and shot grapes off of Uncle Leroy and Aunt Margot’s balcony. It was really funny. We shot at the maintenance man and tourists and Eddie went down there and Uncle Leroy threw grapes at him. So that’s about it.

G’night!

Present day me: I remember throwing the grapes with the slingshot! It was another good memory with my family. I enjoy reading these entries.

Beach/Pool day

Instead of swimming I read a book called Anatomy of a Boyfriend, all of it. It’s a good book, dirty but good. I want Rhonda to read it. It is also pretty funny. So yeah. I’m sitting in the balcony writing in here and listening to that dirty song – Give it Up by Pepper. Wow. Today is just a *potatoes* filled day for me. Haha. Mentally not physically. Reading about it and listening to it. Haha. Today has been a good day. It’s probably around 3ish pm, not really sure and the weather is pretty overcast so no hope in the getting tan department today. Dang. Oh well. I have the rest of the week yo! And at the moment I don’t miss anyone, yet. I know I will. But its good to be out of town and away from the cabin. And after reading this book, sorta makes me want a boyfriend more. Ugh! That’s like the only thing I desperately want right now. And I might just be desperate. At Ashley’s sledding party Brandon was there, I hadn’t of seen him since Andrea’s party and like I had a feeling when I first saw him… a like kind of awkward feeling at first around him. Ugh! I don’t want to like him like that at all. It would screw lots of things up. And like both of Brandon’s friends were there and picking on me. I accidentally kicked Brad where it really hurts when I came sliding into him. And I helped Grace hide Devin’s shoe…it was pretty funny. Anyway, I NEED to meet some new guys that I can get into. Yeah. I guess that’s all I have to write down for now. So, I guess I’ll go back down to the pool by Oma.

Hasta Luego!

Present day me: I was so eager to experience what all teenagers are curious about, being intimate with another person aka, sex. Hahaha. I also didn’t want to be interested in the guys in my class because I had a preference for guys who were older than me, from a year to a few years. No more than 3 years older than me at that point. So when there as a possibility that Brandon and I liked each other I didn’t want to/it.

Tuesday – Still in Mazatlán, Mexico

Today we went on a tour to Stone Island. We went on a boat and saw a bunch of rocks (in the ocean) like oceans. I took pictures. Umm, we got off the boat onto Stone Island and we got to choose two activities to do. Most of us chose snorkeling and riding on the banana boats. Some others rode on horses instead of banana boat. Yeah, we went snorkeling and the tour guide said we’d see sea urchins and stingrays and sharks. But we didn’t. We saw NOTHING! The water was murky green, so that was a bust. Everyone kept saying, “You can’t see shit down there” hehe! Then we had lunch, I had chicken and everyone else had like quesadillas and other meats. Pretty good food, after that we went on the banana boats. It was a lot like tubing at the lake but the waves were smaller at the lake. Fun! It’s something that I want to do again soon. So yeah. Now we’re, (Meryl, Eddie and me) are in Meredith and Susie’s room, they’re in bed and the adults are going downstairs to have a drink. So ttyl!

Present day me: I remember this day. It was more exciting and active that our stay at the hotel and just swim in the ocean days. It was fun to do a new water activity that was similar to tubing at the lake at home.

February 12, 2007

Well, we’re in Mazatlan, Mexico. Our second day here has now come to an end. Well mentally I’m kind of going crazy, physically my skin is burnt to a crisp (actually no, I’ve had worse) my forehead hurts, from sunburn and my left upper arm and shoulder are hurting the most. But enough about me complaining. Nobody likes complainers. So…

We got here Saturday the 10th at about noon. And we got to the hotel, The Mayan Sea Garden. We had to wait until 5 o’clock to get our room and went swimming in the pool, explored and went to bed at 8:45! We were dead tired! So yeah.

Then on Sunday, aka yesterday, we woke up at like 7:30am and got our swimming suits on with some nice clothes over them. Because we had to go to this business breakfast so they could sell the adults timeshares or whatever. We sat there for an hour then the kids could escape to go swimming in the pool or ocean. We did both! I LOVE the ocean! Yesterday was pretty much hanging around water. We also played beach volleyball! Oh! I love vball!

Today: we planned to go shopping so everyone except Opa and Uncle Leroy took the two rental cars and we drove them into the town. The two cars got separated because we couldn’t find a parking spot, so I spent the whole morning walking around the central market, (not buying anything) with Phoebe, Meryl, Eddie, Oma and Uncle Pat. Pretty fricken boring morning if you ask me. But we came back to the hotel and ate lunch and went swimming! In the Beautiful Pacific Ocean and the pool that’s beautiful too! And there was a Mexican fiesta we just came back from. Entertainment was there!! They had good food and good entertainment!

(Wow, do I miss my friends) When I first opened this and found my list of friends’ addresses, I almost started crying. Today was the first day I missed school for the whole 8th grade! But oh well. Man, do I miss my dad and my kitties!

Present day me: This was one of the more fun trips to Mexico that I remember. It was a struggle travelling with about 13 people though. Usually, good memories were had! My dad didn’t join us on these annual trip so it made us miss him and felt like there was a part of our family missing at times.
